Aarush is from a middle-class background, and his family had high hopes for him to become a successful engineer. Bilkul jaise apke aur meri family ko hai. But despite passing the engineering entrance exam, he surprised them by revealing his true passion lay in business and marketing. Rajni was a customer rather an unhappy customer whose appliances were lying on ground for eternity, waiting to get installed.
The Problem: Why Does This Matter?
While working as a CEO, Aarush recognized a significant challenge in the electronics industry. Han sahi samjhe, industry me service ke speed was lagging behind the rapid pace of sales.
During the same time, he came across Rajni Kant Sinha on LinkedIn, who posted about his problem. Actually, Rajni purchased electronic appliances for his parents’ house in Jamshedpur. But wahi, koi install karne nahi aaya, and everything was becoming the shobha of his living room.
The duo connected on LinkedIn and discussed the problem. Both realized that even though the electronics sector has solved its sales problem, in terms of service it was thoroughly disorganized.
Ting! That was the sir ke upar bulb wala moment as they realized that there was a huge potential to make a business out of it.
The Solution: What’s Their Unique Approach?
In September 2022, Aarush Dhawan and Rajni Kant Sinha founded SERVIZ. The startup provides service, repair, and maintenance of electronic appliances for brands and corporates.
The startup is based out of Noida and covers more than 16,000 pin codes across India. The list also includes metros Tier 1, 2, 3 cities, and beyond, for brands. SERVIZ partners with electronic brands and corporations. This enables the startup to deliver comprehensive after-sales support, thus ensuring exceptional post-purchase service for its customers.
SERVIZ was a bootstrapped venture, with an investment from the founders of Rs 30 to 40 lakhs. Moreover, the founders raised a similar amount from friends and family.

SERVIZ partners with 30 major home appliance brands. Thus, offers a comprehensive support for its operations across India.
This category includes strategic clients, e-tailers, retailers, and extended warranty providers. Within this sector, SERVIZ collaborates with e-commerce giant Amazon, and extended warranty specialists like Zopper and Onsitego. The startup is serving as a vital partner for Amazon and facilitates support services for its sellers.
This division deals with company’s corporate segment and partners with prominent quick commerce leaders like Zomato and Blinkit. It also set up established entities in various industries, like Akash Institute and Oyo Workspaces. Through this it provides air conditioning and cooling solutions too. SERVIZ oversees the entire operation for its client companies.
Business Model: How Do They Make Money?
Revenue generation is generally from 4 sources.

The company has fixed aspects of earning revenue through rate cards. SERVIZ have rate cards with brands that mention fixed payout rates with service centers. In this, the startup retains a margin which is the difference amount of between service center payout and brand payment.
What’s the Plan Now?
In future, SERVIZ plans to scale up in all 3 sectors in which it is presently functioning. Market me news aam hai ki they are planning to work with several other appliance brands and structured retail channels (online and offline). Eventually, they aim to manage 1 lakh tonnes of AC for corporates in upcoming months.
Furthermore, the company plans to expand its categories and services for the IT sector and others while growing throughout India and implement this model in major cities abroad.
Founder’s Backstory
Yes, despite passing the engineering entrance exam, his passion lied in marketing and business. Although it was a bit disappointing for his family, he made them proud by completing a BBA and MBA. Then, he built a corporate career that has brought immense pride to his parents.
Yeah, he worked with industry giants like Nestlé, Timex, and the Times of India. He gained immense experience with a comprehensive insight into the corporate world and the intricacies of sales and marketing.
Ultimately, he climbed the corporate ladder and achieved the position of CEO in a leading electronics brand in 2021. But then, Aarush thought his career had reached the height he deserved.
However, working as a CEO, he had to handle the entire business operations, including distribution, marketing, and logistics, to other services.
