This, in the long-run, is cost-effective for the employers.

With the nationwide reach of the scheme, employers can hire candidates across different regions and educational backgrounds. Interns frequently possess skills in teamwork, adaptability, and communication, easing their transition into organizational culture. There are chances of improved retention rates, as structured internships can foster loyalty and thus reduce early attrition by aligning intern expectations with real job roles.
