Family and Educational Background
Jagdish’s family originally belonged to Almora, Uttarakhand. Later, his father with family moved to Delhi and began working in a government hospital. Jagdish was born and raised in Delhi. He did his schooling at a government school and further studies at Delhi University.
He pursued an MBA and a diploma in computer and networking to gain experience in the technical sector. In 1986, he began his professional career with Punj Sons, where he became part of the company. He worked there for 8 1/2 years and then joined the USHA group and Altos for the time being.
In 1986, he began working for an Indian IT company as a commercial executive. Over the next 20 + years, he worked in various departments, taking on domestic and global operations roles. Eventually, he then moved to Singapore to manage regional manage and support sales operations.
After gaining valuable experience in these years, he wanted to build something of his own in the IT field. He was sure that his product or service would be innovative and efficient as innovation had become a principle for him.
Launch of NewGen IT Technologies
In 2017, Bhatt quit his high-paying job, and with no prior experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship, he decided to delve into the entrepreneurial world. In the same year, he founded NewGen IT Technologies Limited.
By 2019, the company had its first client from a US-based company, and with his small team, he began providing IT support services to clients in 19 different countries for a year. Following the success, they quickly established their company in over 7 countries, including India, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
After establishing itself as a leading company, it further secured alliance partnerships with several Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) as well as signed long-term contracts with customers in India, the USA, and Singapore.

Helped India in Overcoming the Pandemic with Antivirus Solution
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the firm was able to successfully deliver an antivirus solution for the Indian Ministry of Finance needed for the pan-India office.
The company had to cater to 3000 users and 300 servers. However, engineers were working remotely during the pandemic but some of them went to individual users to implement IT procedures. This shows the dedication and commitment of the team of NewGen IT.
Challenges
The entrepreneurial journey of Jagdish was not without its challenges. He initially struggled with obtaining funds and establishing credibility for his startup. Despite these challenges, he managed to continue expanding his business. His core team was his biggest support team during these challenging times.
Success and Revenue
Since the launch, NewGen IT Technologies has achieved a total revenue of around Rs 100 crore in India while its global revenue for the year 2024 was USD 15 million.
In the previous year, the revenue was USD 9 million.
This year, the company has seen consistent growth in global revenue. NewGen IT Technologies has a major client from Industries like Oil, BFSI, IT & Telecommunication, energy, FMCG, Power & Gas exchange, retail, Pharma, BPO, Defence, Judiciary, Logistics, and more.
For his significant growth and success, Jagdish won the Innovative Businessman of the Year 2023-24 award at the Indian Glory. In addition to this, he also won The Fastest Growing IT Services Company in India award.
