Panaka Craft Beers

Panaka Craft Beers is putting their own twist on the craft beer revolution by introducing back into our society the value and enjoyment of being able to have conversations with one another. Both the history of Indian customers and the enduring stories within Panchatantra literature influence the company’s approach to brewing.

By drawing upon this cultural history, Panaka creates their beers with a clean, quality product that provides a spark for connections to happen. Beginning with their opening in Mumbai and Pune, the company is encouraging people to slow down from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life and enjoy the drink together in-person, providing them an opportunity to experience what it is like to truly enjoy each other’s presence in this fast-paced world.

A Fresh Brew Arrives in Mumbai & Pune

Panaka Craft Beers has officially stepped into the Indian craft beer scene, bringing with it not just flavour, but culture, nostalgia, and the magic of real conversations. Launching this November across Mumbai and Pune, this homegrown brand promises something special: “The Beer That Brews Conversations.”

Where Heritage Meets Hops

Panaka takes a look back to the age-old stories from the Panchatantra as an inspiration for its idea of how to tell a story in contemporary times. Just like the classical fables did before them, the bottles sold by Panaka are there to encourage people to stop, have discussions, and make connections with others.

This influence runs through the brand’s identity: from its visual storytelling to its deeper philosophy: beer as a conduit for meaningful conversation

Proudly Indian, Brewed with Integrity

Panaka is rooted in India at every level. The craft beers are made using locally sourced ingredients that showcase the country’s rich culinary heritage. You’ll find:

  • Subtle spice notes
  • Native grains
  • Heritage rice
  • Clean brewing practices

The brand stands for “honest brewing” with no preservatives, no additives, and no shortcuts. Just pure, intentional craft beer with flavors that feel contemporary yet deeply Indian.

Rather than imitating Indian flavors, Panaka celebrates Indian values: authenticity, craftsmanship, and the joy of shared stories.

Two Variants. Two Worlds of Flavor.

1. Citrus Lager: Brewed using the legendary Gandhoraj Lime, the lager has a distinct citrusy flavor with a refreshing and crisp taste. In addition to the Gandhoraj Lime, the malt mixture contains barley from the North, millet, and traditional rice grown in Maharashtra. It all gives it a light body that is not only refreshing and resembles past lagers, but also has an element of something different.

2. Wheat Bloom: With its soft, aromatic and layered flavors, Wheat Bloom combines Basil with Rose Petals, Star Anise, Coriander and a bright touch of Orange. Each sip will feel as if you are enjoying the experience slowly and considerately while sharing great comfort, unexpected surprises and a perfectly balanced combination of these 5 flavors.

Panaka Craft Beers

Brewed for a Generation Seeking Something Real

For today’s Millennials and Gen Z (people aged 21-40), life often races ahead, filled with quick texts, hurried calls, and filtered moments. True connection is becoming rare.

Panaka aims to change that.

It becomes the excuse to put away phones, gather around a table, laugh openly, talk honestly, and build memories that last.

A Message from the Founder

“Panaka is built on the belief that conversations are meant to be lived, not typed,” says founder Vishesh Davawala.

“We live in a world where people are more connected than ever, yet lonelier than before. Panaka wants to be the reason people come together, share a beer, and rediscover the joy of real conversations.”

More Than Beer. A Cultural Revival.

Panaka has Indian storytelling roots, clean brewing philosophy, and Panchatantra-inspired brand world. This makes it ready to refresh both palates and perspectives.

As Mumbai and Pune raise their first toast, one thing is clear: Panaka isn’t just launching a beer, it’s reviving the culture of conversation and creating new stories worth sharing.
