Realizing the problem that not every freelancer gets the right idea of what solutions a business requires while the companies are not affordable for SMEs and startups, Swastik Thiramdas decided to start his own digital solution platform, Avocado Tech, in 2024 with a 4-member team. They provide a wider range of digital solutions to businesses at affordable rates. Clocking Rs 300k in 2024 the founder aims to achieve Rs 400k in this financial year.

Swastik Balakrishna Thiramdas completed polytechnic in Information Technology. Currently, he is in 3rd year of data engineering.

What Inspired Swastik to Enter Entrepreneurship?

Swastik shares that there is no such story behind it. He was always interested in building a business. He has tried his hands at 2 to 3 other ventures too before he settled on Avocado Tech.

The 1st venture he took up was when he was in 10th std. It was a gaming YouTube channel.

After that, during his college days, he started uploading flutter tutorial videos. Yes, he is a flutter developer.

Then, he also started Cringe Clothing which was a clothing brand.

A Turning Point: 1st Pay as a Freelancer

He shares that he has a good hold in UI/UX and realizing his potential, his university senior gave him a chance to design a mobile application. His senior owns a tech service agency. However, at that time, Swastik was unsure how much he should charge for it.

That was the turning point when he realized that he could earn more by freelancing. But then he discovered a major problem: a lack of better and more productive digital solutions.

Building a team of 4, Swastik set on developing his product: Avocado Tech.

Challenges on the Way

Being new players in the market brought a wide range of challenges, starting with hiring. But the major challenge was to find clients because no one was willing to trust the new company without any portfolio.

Wahi bat hai, job lene jao, 5 sal ka experience mangte hain wo bhi fresher se! 😅

However, here the scenario was different. People in the local markets judge us by our age and communication skills (ye skills to waise har jagah hi notice kiye jate hain, so don’t take them lightly).

Based on their young age and lack of communication skills, many people refused them but this didn’t stop. Yeah, that is the spirit! 💪🏼

Swastik knew that he needed to fix it and thus they started working on their communication skills. Also, to present something as a demo, the team designed a custom working model.

And as they say, koshish karne walo ki har nahi hoti!

This new model helped them secure their first client. 🥳
