Jyoti Srivastava, a chemical engineer from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, founded Little Cherry Mom. The idea hit her when her son turned 6 in 2020. At that time, she was looking for healthy, organic, and sugar-free food options for his solid food.
She was disappointed by the lack of suitable products in the market. Such that, she decided ke main khud hi millet-based baby food brand banaungi.
But the plan got delayed.

Early Steps
It was during the COVID-19 lockdown when Jyoti started an Instagram page to share her experiences. She also raised awareness among mothers about healthy baby feeding.
Considering the delicate topic, the page quickly gained traction. By February 2022, the time of official brand launch, the page reached 65,000 followers.
Company Launch
Jyoti bootstrapped Little Cherry Mom with her investment and resources. She started with a small team and her main focus was millet-based flours, instant dosa mixed, healthy snacks (khakhra), amla prash, sugar/jaggery-free laddoos, and more.
Struggles and Challenges
Challenge #1 Social Pressure and Ridicule
She faced scepticism and her relatives and acquaintances ridiculed her for leaving her engineering job and starting a parenting blog and food business. They even labeled her “mummy blogger” and as expected, no one took her seriously in the beginning.
Challenge #2 COVID-19 Constraints:
Since she was working on her startup during the pandemic, it was difficult to source ingredients and scale up production. Jyoti had to manage alone without house help, her business and her child simultaneously.
Challenge #3 Market Education
Majorly, parents are unfamiliar with the nutritional benefits of millet-based food items. Introducing such products to them is a challenge in itself. However, through her social media, Jyoti built trust and spread awareness among her audience.
Challenge #4 Bootstrapping Limits the Growth
Since the company was bootstrapped, its expansion and growth remained limited due to a lack of external funding.
Success, Growth, and Revenue
Since its official launch in February 2022, Little Cherry Mom has successfully served over 12,000 customers and fulfilled more than 13,000 orders in its first year.
By May 2025, the company reached more than 60k customers.
The company started with a turnover of ₹2.87 lakh and 385 orders in its first month, and quickly scaled to ₹12 lakh per month with over 1,300 orders monthly.
- In FY 2022-23, the company clocked ₹1 crore in revenue.
- By 2025, cumulative revenue had reached nearly ₹3 crore.
Product Expansion and Brand Differentiation
Jyoti has plans to expand the product line for include more baby foods like pancakes, purees, noodles/pasta, and more. However, all these options will also be prepared with a complete focus on health and nutrition.
Since all the products are the result of in-house production, Little Cherry Mom is in full control over high-quality maintenance.
Moreover, her focus is always to research well, and the final product should be easy-to-digest for babies and toddlers.

Currently, the team comprise of 10 members that handles everything from product development to order fulfilment.
