With the increasing significance of international collaborations, conferences, summits, and events are becoming more prevalent. To aid in that, a new 3-day international conference on defense finance and economics will be inaugurated on 12th April by Rajnath Singh.
The Ministry of Defence shared, The conference, organized by the Ministry of Defence (Finance), will provide a platform for eminent policymakers, academics, and government officials from within the country and abroad to share their insights and experiences on Defence Finance and Economics in the context of evolving security challenges and policies globally.
Delegates from the USA, UK, Japan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Kenya will participate in the conference.
This conference will aim to foster dialogue and collaboration among participants and contribute to the country’s defense readiness. This will be done with optimum financial resources and effective implementation of the defense budget.
The aim is to participate in a global discussion on Defence Finance and Economics to propose a sustainable blueprint on this subject.
A new 3-day international conference on Defense Finance and Economics will be inaugurated on 12th April by Rajnath Singh and its objective is to disseminate not just the best practices but also the experiences and expertise of various countries.
All of this will be done while aligning processes in the Indian context with International standards. The hope here is to facilitate collaborations with not just foreign governments but also with international institutions and global leaders in the domain of defense finance and economics.
This is being done to support the government’s efforts of influencing and making the defense sector self-reliant.
The discussion taking place will cover topics such as opportunities and current challenges in the area of defense finance and economics. This includes sun topics such as how to manage logistics in a cost-conscious way, and how to allocate resources and use them efficiently and effectively.
The Ministry also shared, The participants will also deliberate upon different models and practices of finance and economics related to defense acquisition around the world as well as the latest developments and innovations in defense research and development.
Lastly, the discussion will also look at addressing concerns such as best practices for managing human resources in Defense, pay-related issues, the welfare of the defense personnel as well as their pensions, and also the role and functions of oversight mechanisms within defense ecosystems.
